Charles N. "Chuck" Bolton 75 Oblong, Illinois died Thursday August 30, 2001 at

Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center Robinson following an extended illness. Chuck

was born March 21, 1926 in Trimble, Illinois and was the son of Thurman Bolton

and June (Hildebrand) Bolton. On September 18, 1948 he married Delta

"Corkie" Anderson. He was a mechanic and Shop Forman at Refiners

Transport retiring in 1988. During WWII he served in the U. S. Army's 82 nd

Airborn Division in the European Theater. Chuck was a member of the

Crawford County V.F.W. Post #4549, Robinson Moose Lodge #1188 and the

Tri-County Bikers Club. His hobbies included airplanes, motorcycles and

racing cars.

 


Chuck is survived by his wife Corkie; daughters and sons-in-laws Nancy & Gary

Brush and Debbie & Jim Poettker; 5 grandchildren Angie & Bob Mullins, Andi

Brush, Jeremy Brush; Mandie Poettker and Colt Poettker; 2 great

grandchildren Candace & Ethan Mullins; 1 aunt June Hildebrand; 3 cousins

Norm Nidey, Bill Feicht & Larry Hildebrand. Chuck is preceded in death by his

parents.

 

Pastor John Brand will officiate and Military Rites at the cemetery will be

conducted by Crawford County V.F.W. Post #4549, E. M. Coulter American

Legion Post #69 and The Amvets Post #33.
